Tai Chi as Meditation (slow)

Tai Chi Chuan is often called "Moving Meditation". Practicing Yang-Style Tai Chi Chuan leads to better health and fitness - especially, if you follow the guidelines. The meditative, slowly flowing whole-body-motions resemble a mighty river, that never stands still.

As a beginner you do not have to learn the complicated movements, but you can benefit from just standing in the individual positions for a while. We present the basic five positions normally known as "Grasp the Birdīs Tail".

Now letīs continue with the first posture

Beginning of Tai Chi Chuan

Stand upright with feet shoulderwidth apart. Slowly lift up your arms without force and hold them in the shown position for a while. Then let them peacefully sink down again. It is advised to do this a couple of times.
